Waking up at 11 a.m.

Breakfast Bar. Tea.

At Music Makers conducting a Modern Day Warrior band practice – I’ve got the PA set up in the 104 space so they can run their set. Of course, Thomas shows up late because his truck battery died and Luke has to leave at 2pm. But they manage to polish up any weak spots in the set.

PB&J. Plantain Chips. Coffee.

Right after Rebecca is conducting Broadway rehearsal but it’s only some of the cast – mainly to focus on the Shakespeare tunes – I’m the lead in one of the numbers and help figure out the choreo. It’s a lot of work but also a fun time.

Cleaning up everything and organizing gear.

Running a few errands – to Target and Taylor’s.

Then, Rebecca and I grab dinner at Tupelo Honey Café in Town Center. I’ve never been here before. They have the most amazing biscuits and fried chicken. We chat a long time talking about “principles” and analyzing why owners of muscle cars choose to be loud on the street. We park over at Columbus Theater perusing the movie posters then pretending to stake out the place.

Shadow, this is Purple Nurple. I’ve got eyes on the prize. I repeat: I got eyes on the prize.

Meanwhile, nearby a couple obviously on a date stands around by their cars having a post parking lot conversation.

Later on, taking care of some things at the studio and taking out the recycle.

Ana’s still in the process of packing all her things – it’s basically done. I help her carry some boxes to her car. I can tell she’s overwhelmed juggling work and having the move – it’s stressful. I tell her not to stress and don’t try to do everything at once. I can take care of all the little things she doesn’t have time to do.

After she leaves I vacuum, pull the high things off the walls, and do some cleaning – it’s the least I could do.
