Wednesday March 31 2021

Waking up around 11:20 a.m.

Cereal with Banana, Blueberries, and Almond Milk. Tea.

I drive over to the convention center for my first dose of the Covid vaccine (Moderna). I’m impressed how organized this whole situation is. They have you pick a 20 minute window of time to avoid overcrowding. It doesn’t take long to get the shot. Afterwards, they make you sit in another area for at least 15 minutes to monitor you – the chairs are spread out in a symmetrical way. Volunteers walk around checking on you and explaining that you should raise your hand when your 15 minutes is up. One guy really loves his job cause he walks around making everyone smile with jokes.

Over to the gym to run on the treadmill and lift a little bit.

Scrambled Eggs. Toast with Butter and Jam. Salt n Vinegar Chips. Coffee.

Watching Last Chance U: Basketball (2021).

Teaching lessons at Music Makers. We had Allyson here training at the front desk in hopes to put her on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Back home. Making a quick dinner using a frozen mix with leftover Kale, Carrots, Salmon, and Gyoza.

Taking apart my laptop to inspect the cooling fan – it’s been making a bunch of racket as of late – will probably have to replace it.

Ana gets off work and we catch up on the events of the day. Showing her a funny cat/dog compilation and we laugh about how she slobbers whenever something is too funny to handle.

Tuesday March 30 2021

Waking up around 11:40 a.m.

As per usual they’re banging and thumping underneath us – gutting out the apartment below making all kinds of racket. It’s laughable at this point. I fear a hammer is gonna bust through the floor at any moment.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Blueberries, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.

Catching up on business. I finally solved the email issue with the Music Makers gmail! Dealing with scheduling and other such things.

PB&J to go with Coffee.

At Music Makers teaching lessons all day.

Taking care of chores and cleaning.

Monday March 29 2021

Waking up abruptly at 9 a.m. to the obnoxious sounds of banging from underneath – Chanticleer has a crew gutting out the space below us and it’s insanely loud. I put in my AirPods and turn on noise cancelling to the sound of brown noise and drift back off to sleep.

Awake around 11:47 a.m.

Cereal with Blueberries, Banana, and Almond Milk. Tea.

Catching up on business.

Upon changing the password to the Music Makers Gmail account I discover all of a sudden we can’t send out emails but only receive them. Okay? What a racket.

So much comes tumbling down on my list to do for the day that I decide to cancel/sub out my lessons today.

Scrambled Eggs. Spinach. Toast with Butter and Jam. Chips. Coffee.

I continue on running errands – stopping by Music Makers to deal with a few things.

Eating leftovers at the house for dinner.

ELO practice – we focus on learning a new song, “Xanadu”.

Troubleshooting the whole email thing. It’s a mystery.

Sunday March 28 2021

Waking up around noon.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Blueberries, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.

Ana takes us out to Suffolk to Union Camp Farm where she’s been learning to ride horses. It’s a beautiful place out here in the middle of nowhere. Ducks, chickens, quails, roosters, lamas, donkeys, cows, cats, dogs, and of course horses roam everywhere. Liz, the owner and mother of many kids, shows us the ropes. We take the horses to a gated circle. I remember the last time I was on a horse I was a teenager and I got put with a wild younger horse – she decided to run wild around the field before I even knew how to do it. Today, I’m able to get the basics down. It’s a perfect date for Ana and I, especially for her birthday.

PB&J’s and Popped Chips for lunch with Coffee on the drive back to VB.

Back home. Ana and Allyson cook in the kitchen for dinner. Meanwhile, friends of ours roll through cause it’s Ana’s 30th birthday!

We all enjoy Lentils, Brown Rice, and Roasted Vegetables. It’s a perfect small gathering featuring Stacy, Kevin Moore, Allyson, James Graves, Roland, Jenna, Umit, Tristan Stewart, and Austin Clark. Eating the 3 layer chocolate cake I made complete with 30 candles and a horse. I watch as we all sing happy birthday to Ana – her face is bright with gratefulness and happiness.

Later on, we set up the TV in the living room to do karaoke. All the boys mess around with the toy guns, air bazooka, and balloons. Dancing. Singing. It’s really nice to see some of these friends we haven’t seen in a while.

Organizing some things in my room.

It’s so nice out I decide to take a night ride to the oceanfront on my bike. Besides the fact that the police have the whole area around 20th blocked off from a shooting, it’s a perfect night to ride.
