Waking up around noon.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Blueberries, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.

Ana takes us out to Suffolk to Union Camp Farm where she’s been learning to ride horses. It’s a beautiful place out here in the middle of nowhere. Ducks, chickens, quails, roosters, lamas, donkeys, cows, cats, dogs, and of course horses roam everywhere. Liz, the owner and mother of many kids, shows us the ropes. We take the horses to a gated circle. I remember the last time I was on a horse I was a teenager and I got put with a wild younger horse – she decided to run wild around the field before I even knew how to do it. Today, I’m able to get the basics down. It’s a perfect date for Ana and I, especially for her birthday.

PB&J’s and Popped Chips for lunch with Coffee on the drive back to VB.

Back home. Ana and Allyson cook in the kitchen for dinner. Meanwhile, friends of ours roll through cause it’s Ana’s 30th birthday!

We all enjoy Lentils, Brown Rice, and Roasted Vegetables. It’s a perfect small gathering featuring Stacy, Kevin Moore, Allyson, James Graves, Roland, Jenna, Umit, Tristan Stewart, and Austin Clark. Eating the 3 layer chocolate cake I made complete with 30 candles and a horse. I watch as we all sing happy birthday to Ana – her face is bright with gratefulness and happiness.

Later on, we set up the TV in the living room to do karaoke. All the boys mess around with the toy guns, air bazooka, and balloons. Dancing. Singing. It’s really nice to see some of these friends we haven’t seen in a while.
