Waking up at 11 a.m.


Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, Maple Syrup, and Almond Milk. Earl Grey Tea.


Basketball at the Rec.


Herring with Mustard. Poppy Seed Bagel with Vegan Cream Cheese. Peach. Coffee.

Teaching all my in-home lessons.


For dinner Ana, mom, and I go for sushi at Fuji Yama near Shore Drive. Enjoying Tempura, Miso Soup, and Sushi Rolls.


There was a shooting over at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center – 13 dead – a disgruntled public works employee went on a rampage. It’s sad and terrible news. With it being right in our backyard makes the whole gun topic more real.


Later, at the studio practicing songs with Ana and packing up.

Waking up at 11 a.m.


Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, Maple Syrup, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.


Ana and I run errands – taking the recycle out – stopping by our favorite local bakery, Prosperity – printing out some Music Makers promo things for summer camps.


Scrambled Eggs. Sesame Bagel with Vegan Cream Cheese. Grapefruit. Coffee.


Teaching lessons at Music Makers.

Plantain Chips.


Back home. Mom made dinner with leftovers: Black Beans, Onions, Corn on the Cob, Asparagus, and Quinoa.


At Ladada rehearsal with the boys. Ana, Jordan, and Jonnie just finished up Community Witch practice. At some point all of us get caught up in conversation and Josiah flips out on the microphone yelling as loudly as possible in reaction to us not paying attention to a “story” he was trying to tell us. It’s a strange moment catching us all off guard. Recently, he acquired a new job at a thrift store working long hard labor hours. Later, he apologizes and we get on with band practice.

Catching up on business – organizing dates and info on summer camps/events for Music Makers.


Scrambled Eggs. Toast with Vegan Cream Cheese. Salt n Vinegar Chips with Avocado. Coffee.


Teaching lessons.


Back home.

Mom and Ana make dinner: Fried Chicken with Broccoli, Carrots, Quinoa, and Goat Cheese stuffed Mushrooms.


At the studio with Ana practicing songs. She’s very tired – had to get up at 5 a.m. and didn’t get the chance to take a nap – we struggle through certain songs.

Teaching lessons at Music Makers.


As soon as my last lesson is done Jordan, Jonnie, and Ana arrive to the studio to practice Community Witch stuff. Beforehand, I give Jordan a solid drum lesson on fundamentals and ideas she can use in the band. It’s her first time playing drums but she’s got a lot of natural rhythm.


Back home. Black Bean Tacos with Tomatoes, Slaw, and Baby Broccoli.


Later, back at the studio practicing some songs solo.
