Teaching lessons at Music Makers.

As soon as my last lesson is done Jordan, Jonnie, and Ana arrive to the studio to practice Community Witch stuff. Beforehand, I give Jordan a solid drum lesson on fundamentals and ideas she can use in the band. It’s her first time playing drums but she’s got a lot of natural rhythm.

Back home. Black Bean Tacos with Tomatoes, Slaw, and Baby Broccoli.

Later, back at the studio practicing some songs solo.

Waking up at 10:45 a.m.

Ana made amazing Waffles and Coffee for breakfast.

Time to set up the stage at Elevation 27 for the big Music Makers LIVE show this afternoon. It’s hot as all get out and it’s about to get hotter on this stage. I’m running around making sure everything goes smoothly. Got Devon helping with stuff on the stage. Got Alexa’s dad emceeing on the mic to keep the show rolling. These bands do a phenomenal job. So much improvement from the last time.

There’s a great moment when mom hops on the stage with the tambourine during the adult band’s performance of “Give Me One Reason”, a favorite of hers. She’s been fighting this stupid cancer for some time now and watching that big warm smile of hers really proves how much strength she has.

We manage to get everything unloaded back to Music Makers in a timely fashion.

Ana, mom, and I get something to eat at Ynot Pizza for a late lunch. Enjoying slices with Garlic Knots and Salads.

Later, catching up on things and taking a nap.

At the studio organizing all the gear and putting the drum set back together.

Herring. Leftover Salad. Parm Bread. Beer.

Waking up at 11 a.m.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Blueberries, Maple Syrup, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.

MMLIVE rehearsals all day. These are the final practices for these bands. Most of them are stage ready. There’s always this sense of doubt that something’s gonna go wrong but it always comes together on show day.

PB&J. Plantain Chips. Coffee. Peach.

Continuing on with rehearsals.

Later on back at home. Mom and Ana fix up dinner in the kitchen while I get caught up clearing out and organizing the truck bed toolbox in mom’s truck. There’s so much old junk and car parts lying around inside. The idea is we keep the back part clear so we can lug equipment tomorrow.

Enjoying dinner at the table: Ghost Pepper BBQ Lentil Burgers with Slaw, and Mashed Cauliflower. I brought home some Five Guys French Fries to go with it.

Chores.

At the studio breaking down the drum set and organizing gear.

Smoothie.

Catching up on business.

Teaching my in-home lessons at the Kuzniewski’s house. It’s always a good time with the boys cause they’re always jumping on the trampoline or swimming in the pool in between lessons. Teaching Ellie The Office theme song on piano.

Later, with mom and Ana at Lolly’s Ice Cream to share in the newest VB dessert indulgence. Then, at DOMOISHI for dinner, where China Wok used to reside. Enjoying bowls of Ramen and such.

Later on, Ana and I practice music at the studio. We get carried away doing songs we’re not supposed to be working on but it’s fun. Towards the end when rehearsing new parts on Bohemian Rhapsody she gets tired and I get impatient.

Setting up the rehearsal spot for tomorrow.

Cabbage Salad. Corn Tortilla Chips. Beer.
