Waking up at 10:45 a.m.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, Maple Syrup, and Almond Milk. Earl Grey Tea.

MMLIVE rehearsals all day – it’s been four bands in total every Sunday – fortunately, today I have Drew, Devon, and Lisa to help with the coaching.

Toasted PB&J. Orange. Coffee.

More rehearsals until 6:30 p.m.

Afterwards, I corral mom and Ana to When In Rome, our favorite Italian restaurant to which we frequent on holidays like this: Mother’s Day. We already bombarded mom with giant bouquets of flowers at the house. Diner is my treat tonight over a bottle of a Chianti Red Wine. Plates of fresh Pasta, Grouper, Clams, and Bruschetta. Finishing it off with Cannolis imported from Sicily.

Back home. All pumped up full of wine. I give mom a much needed hug. She’s been going through a lot of these past few months getting all that chemo and fighting this cancer. Sometimes, we get so caught up in everyday life I forget the struggle she’s going through.
