Waking up at 11:22 a.m.

All day shift at China Wok.

Cheese Danish. Orange Juice.

Driving down First Colonial—delivering. JP calls—he’s in the car directly in front of me in route to Rick’s.

JP: “I just had to make sure it was you.”

Me: “…small world.”

I pull up to the restaurant and find Stephanie sitting on the curb in a green robe—she just printed out some Arbonne stuff at Kinko’s.

Stef: “Oh and there’s Moses!”

Moses Appleton parks his van.

Me: “Are you meeting him or something?”

Stef: “No.”

Me: “So he’s here on his own. So strange.”

Muscadine Grapes.

Prepping bags during down time.

Lunch: Peanut Butter Bagel. Salt n Vinegar Chips. Honey Green Tea.

Driving. Delivering. Without ceasing.

Dark Chocolate Bar with Caramel and Black Sea Salt.

Rain.

Driving. Delivering. Without ceasing.

One house ordered $60 worth of Chinese food. Turns out it’s only for the husband and wife. How in the world do you order $60 worth of food for only two people?

Applesauce.

Redemption. Tonight’s tip rake-in is satisfactory.

Spring Rolls.

In reference to all the commotion/partying going on downstairs Darren comes into my room completely annoyed and says…

“I have come to the conclusion that all the people I surround myself [in this house] with are just simple minded.”

Baked Cod Fillets.

Darren, James, and I head to Nicole’s apartment—hanging out with her, Amanda, and Will.

Playing the board game, Sequence, and drinking a few beers.

Will playfully sings, “There’s nothing better to do than play sequence and have a couple brews.”

We can’t stop the Darren talking head. A topic doesn’t even have to be brought up and he’s on a soap box about the flaws in modern society…but we all engage anyway because the analytical fire is too strong to be ignored…we all want to get to the bottom of everything…the truth.

Darren: “I really enjoy thinking…”

Me: “It’s a daily workout for you.”

We cover so much in one night…relationship philosophy…intimacy issues…morality…blind trust…how the knowledge of the end affects the quality of the present moment (nihilism)…choice vs influence. You put critical minds like ours in a room and this is what happens…an invigorating 3 and half hour debate. We leave having a better understanding on the different schools of thought we each come from.

A bowl of Cherrios with Brown Sugar.

Sleep after 4:30 a.m.
