(she came with the car)

My bedroom door was knocked on two different times by Kenneth disturbing me out of sleep. It’s such an agitating sound. The funny part is when I don’t answer the door and just lie there, he still talks to me from behind the door in a normal tone assuming I’m just listening to him, which I had no choice to because he woke me up. He mumbles something about finding information about why the cop confronted him about his phone number the other day. C’mon, Ken. Is this really that important right now? You know I’m sleeping.

After going back to sleep for a while, I hear another knock at the door. A strange female figure walks in. I recognize the voice but my brain can’t compute anything at the moment. I ask, “Who are you?” She replies, “Hey, it’s Becca.” “What are you doing here?” She keeps asking, “Is anyone up there with you?” Then she comments about how dark it is in here because it’s mid afternoon. I reach my arm out and touch her shoulder and say, “Hey, how are you?” in a warm groggy voice. She just got back from a GEICO interview and figured she’d stop by. But she also wanted to work out a transportation deal if she got the job since the headquarters is near my house.

Sleep.

DREAM: Kenneth is standing there in my room talking to me as usual about whatever. Something happens and we hug, or maybe he just gets close to me. We kind of rub faces and he almost kisses me. Whoa. “Hey. Hey. Stop. No. We’re not doing that.” He backs off and the conversation is over. Later, I leave the house and travel down the street. On the road there’s a truck with a trailer hitch. I have the tongue piece in hand, but it’s not the right size. A covering is clamped over the end. Kenneth somehow finds where I am. I give him the weird tongue piece to figure out what to do.

Listening to the BBC and NPR on the radio.

As I’m getting Coffee from the old man, we finally introduce ourselves to each other. His name is Bill. You can always expect some kind of small talk between the two of us about the weather. Talking about the blizzards up north. I mention the political state of Egypt and ask him, “Did you hear about the cyclone in Australia?” (When you deliver the newspaper, you tend to be well informed about what’s going on in the world.) He responds, “I tell you what, Robert, I’ll never argue with the man upstairs.”

Enjoying an Old Fashioned Blueberry Donut from 7-11.

“The Cave” by Mumford & Sons catches my ear. http://hypem.com/#!/item/10163/Mumford+and+Sons+-+The+Cave
