DREAM: Feeling a newfound kinship with my China Wok employers, on par with a family. Here I am in the restaurant reclining on a couch that isn’t there in waking life but here in the dream it’s normal. Ling is napping on the side of the couch wrapped up in a blanket. Cecily plops down right next to me. Playfully I curl up against her like a needy lover. We look over the schedule written down in a notebook. She points out a date where she wants me to take a trip to DC for whatever reason. Later, I’m asked by Ling to go out and retrieve dinner for everyone. This is kind of strange considering they always cook their meals for themselves here. He wants me to bring back food from another Chinese restaurant called Honey Dreams, or something like that, in the Chinatown district of Virginia Beach, which I never knew existed until now. After some exploration through a business park I locate Honey Dreams with its colorful neon sign flashing persistently. I walk in and pick up a menu. As the ready-to-serve Asian employees wait, I analyze the items listed. I’m confused because Ling never made clear what to get. Five minutes go by and I still can’t decide. I feel pressure because they’re about to close. I think I even call Cecily to clarify what exactly I’m getting but she’s no help. In the end I leave with a bag of warm crab rice. I think they’re going to be disappointed with me. And they are.

Waking up at 11 a.m.

Egg and Cheese Biscuit, and Pecan Cinnamon Twist from Bojangles. Orange Juice.

All day shift at China Wok.

Grapes.

Elliott visits me via his refurbished purple and green bicycle. He goes on a run with me. Delivering to a guy on Matt lane who ordered over $70 worth of food. His yard is stocked with trailers and miscellaneous things. I make mention to Elliott how he resembles a more mature and accomplished Kenneth.

Peanut Butter Toast. Tortilla Chips with Fresh Guacamole. Honey Green Tea.

The deliveries keep coming and going. All the while comedy radio entertaining my drives.

Banana.

Finally off work.

Broccoli and Snow Peas with Salmon, Black Beans, and Rice.

Watching Julia (2008).

I head over to Margot’s place for a sleepover.

Eating an Ice Cream Sandwich.

...

In the bed I try to instigate sex but her tummy is upset and she’s tired.

Her: “I need my beauty rest. How do you think I look so pretty all the time?”

Sexually dissatisfied at 2 a.m.
