4:47 p.m. I get out of bed.

I notice the wound on Ambrotious is getting worse and inform Emily through text: “emily this cats wound is worse. his hair is missing there and its deeper and redder.” She calls back. I guess my text sounded accusational and she gets upset because she’s driving and talking. It turns heated—not what I expected. Sometimes it seems impossible to have a conversation with her without her taking it personally. All I wanted to do was inform.

Emily: “I’ve become an expert in killing time in thought.”

Breakfast: Toasted Bagel Plain with Butter and Blackberry Jam. Orange Juice. Zinc, Vitamin E.

I arrive at China Wok to work because my boss called me in but left right after because they didn’t need me. Apparently one of the chefs went to Chinatown to get married.

Eating Watermelon.

Quick stop at Kroger for groceries.

Emily brought home one of those Elizabethan collars for the cat to prevent him from licking the huge gash on the side of the chest. He looks pathetic but hopefully it does the job.

Chris, Jon Reynolds, and Emily are watching Tarantino’s Death Proof [2007].

Eating a Hard Boiled Egg with Mix Vegetables and Perogies with Yogurt Dill Dip.

Margot and I go to the storage unit—admiring her dark blue dress—staring at her fluttery green eyes, which resemble butterflies—making love.

Setting up to track guitars for “Woodlands”.

Eating a bowl of Crisp Rice Cereal with Banana and Brown Sugar.

Watching the rest of Hitler Meets Christ [2007].

Recording at the unit.

Taking a break back home.

Eating Garlic Italian Bread and Watermelon.

Playing DOOM.

Back to the unit for more recording.

Sleep around 7:30 a.m.
