I have to be at China Wok for work early today (all day shift).

There’s an accident blocking all of VaBeach Blvd and my way out of the neighborhood.

I hate eating breakfast while driving and getting frustrated with traffic.

Breakfast: Hot Oat Bran with Cinnamon, Brown Sugar, Blueberries, and Milk. Orange and Carrot Juice. Zinc, Vitamin E, Alfalfa Grain.

Driving down First Colonial…one of the banks states it is 90 degrees outside. I knew there was a reason I slept through this part of the day.

Eating a Peach and a Kiwi.

No orders for a while – napping in the van – the heat is horrendous.

Lunch: Toasted Peanut Butter Sandwich. Salt n Vinegar Chips. Mango Oolong Tea.

Eating Watermelon and snacking on Cheese Soy Crisps.

Passing the intersection at First Colonial and Laskin I see my boss sitting in her van parked at the light with cops and people gathered around. She tells me later it was a hit and run. A guy slammed into the back of her van and kept driving. The cops caught up with him soon after.

Finding discarded mattresses in good condition all over the place. Must be harvest season.

My 10-hour shift finally ends.

Dinner: An Egg. Thai Noodles with Peas. Garlic Naan Bread. Carrots and Ranch.

Watching The International (2009).

Eating Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies with Milk.

Organizing my mattress finds.

Hi JP! And Jon!

Emily is baking Chocolate Chip Cookies again. I eat my last cookie for a while.

Everybody’s watching Independence Day (1996).

Playing Unreal.

Emma is asleep on the grey couch. Emily and JP are lounging on the red couch.

It starts pouring rain outside. Me: “Rain in Virginia Beach is really sneaky.”

Reading from the Big Question and Answer Book.

Finish watching The International (2009).

“Sometimes a man can meet his destiny on the road he took to avoid it.”

Sleep 5:30 a.m.
