Catching up on business and running errands.

Teaching lessons at Music Makers.

Meeting with Jordan, a potential new guitar instructor. Enjoying our conversation on music and the philosophy of teaching. He’s got the right perspective.

...

Then, meeting with Rebecca, who starts teaching a few students today. She’s one of Ana’s co-workers at Trader Joe’s. She also has the right perspective on teaching – she’s got a great energy and positive spirit about her, a perfect fit for the studio. We talk about her history getting her degree in Bristol and how she ended up in Virginia Beach.

Back home. Making Black Bean Tacos for dinner.

When Ana gets off work we go on a late night trip to Wal-Mart for cat supplies. Then, practicing a few tunes at the studio.

At home. I always hate hearing the low moans coming from the living room where mom is. She still experiences pain from post-surgery healing. She sits up in her chair in tears and begs, “I just want the pain to stop!” I comfort her as best I can. It’s always better when she moves around and converses with Ana and I.

Sleep 4 a.m.
