In my old bedroom from my teenage years in Ocean Lakes. Ana’s here along with tons of friends and strangers. I’m so focused on trying to catch this spider I found. Nobody else seems to notice or care about this jumpy bug. It’s becoming too difficult. The spider seems to be hostile only to me.

Waking up at 10:30 a.m.

Meeting with Hannah at CrossFit Takeover for my first training session. Already dipped my feet into a couple free group sessions weeks ago. Now it’s time to get fit!

Fixing the vacuum cleaner – had some buildup in the hose.

Grilled PB&J Poppy Seed Bagel. Lentil Curls. Coffee. Apple.

Teaching my in-home lessons. Some of these kids really impress me with their creative piano skills. The Browns house is always a blast. I always get caught up in conversation with Jack’s mom, Amy, about the goings on in the kid’s lives and maintaining a full household. I respect that she’s able to approach everything with such a humorous attitude despite any problems.

Ana and I ride out to Old Beach Tavern for dinner and to watch Mike Gombas and Kelly perform. Mom joins us later. Enjoying well blended harmonies and sing-a-longs and good food.

Back home. Ana and I practice our rendition of Walk Don’t Run. Somewhere in the middle of it we get interrupted with moods and criticisms.

“You’ve got to be patient with yourself and to me,” I say.

Of course I can always practice what I preach.

“You are an amazing musician. You can play all these instruments and you’ve got a great voice with so much soul!”

Sometimes we just need a little encouragement and a few reminders.

Sleep 3:30 a.m.
