Waking up at 11:45 a.m.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.

Running errands – lugging all the gear over to South Beach early in the day.

It’s dreadfully hot out – app says it’s 92 degrees but it feels like 110!

Scrambled Eggs. Biscuit with Butter and Jam. Spinach. Coffee.

Teaching a few lessons at Music Makers.

Then, straight over to South Beach Grill to help set up Modern Day Warrior’s first ever paid gig. I have Thomas work with Evan, the drummer of the other band Leaders of Harmony, to get the drums set up the way he wants. It almost feels like a mini version of MMLIVE/rock school. But the cool thing is Andrew Perrot, who used to be a part of all rock school stuff back in the day, has grown up a lot as a musician and really progressed in his career as a musician. It’s really awesome to see all of this under one roof. Both bands put on a powerhouse set. “Skinny Bob” creates a fantastic atmosphere on stage doing sound and lights. He also creates some comedic relief for the kids.

Ana shows up to help get the gear back to the studio. While there putting everything back together we get into another argument about who knows what.

Happy Birthday mom! Haven’t had much time to reflect cause it’s been such a blur today. But I need to take a second, stop, and appreciate everything that’s happening in my life – being grateful that I had such a wonderful mom growing up who helped nurture and shape me into the man I am today.

Late into the night Ana and I somehow get into more debate on our relationship – at some point I just get so exhausted and I give up and tell her I simply can’t talk anymore about it. I’m not sure how but we do end on a neutral note.
