Waking up at 11:57 a.m. officially. I decided to sleep in cause I never get the chance to very often.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, Maple Syrup, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.

Catching up on business.

Setting up the rehearsal spot.

Doing the accounting for the month.

Ana and I hit the road to Kempsville in VB for the highly anticipated house show tonight at Jimmy and Olivia’s. Beforehand, we seek out a place to grab a bite to eat nearby. We stumble upon a local Thai restaurant called Jen’s that blows our palate’s minds.

At the Quevedo house. There’s a keg and plenty of people holed up in every nook and cranny. Dariel Clark, The Lazy Dangers, and Community Witch. Dariel does his fly thing without his usual drummer. After his last song I encourage us to jam/freestyle for a while – hopping on the drums – others join in on percussion. It’s the debut performance of Ana’s full band. I know this project means a lot to Ana and I’m so proud of her. At the last song they’ve got everyone chanting along to the catchy “Da Da Da Da Da Da” and it’s infectious. Anthony’s band continues the great energy – finishing off the show with a piñata full of candy. It feels nice to just be myself and hang with all my friends – no pressure to perform – no responsibility anywhere – just watching and supporting local music – also reminds me of the 1435 and 1623 house parties.

Back home. Compiling footage and chilling with Ana and Elvis.

Sleep 4 a.m.
