Waking up at 11 a.m.

Oat Bran with Cinnamon, Maple Syrup, Strawberries, and Kefir. Irish Breakfast Tea.

Teaching afternoon lessons at Music Makers.

While teaching Diamond, one of my piano/voice students, she encounters a tender moment after listening to one of her favorite praise and worship songs from church. Somewhere past the chorus she suddenly starts weeping. Later on, she explains that she heard God whisper very clearly into her ear, “I love you.”

Scrambled Eggs. Toast with Vegan Cream Cheese. Vegetable Chips. Green Tea.

Catching up on business.

DEJA has a gig at South Beach Grill down the street. Anthony, Cynthia, and Ana show up after the first set. A few friends here and there. Technical difficulties cause a few issues but overall it’s a fun show with a lively and supportive crowd. Sipping on a Stella – I had Pizza from next door earlier.

It’s after 1:30 a.m. and I have to set up stuff at the rehearsal space for tomorrow.

Finally back home and finally settling down at 3:30 a.m. It seems like the day never ends – there’s always just one more thing to do.
