Without Old Lady's Glasses and With Old Lady's Glasses (December 8 2014)[i]

Waking up at 11 a.m.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Maca Powder, Maple Syrup, Chia Seeds, and Almond Milk. Coffee.

Visiting a new chiropractor in Hilltop. I saw one a little over a year ago for a whiplash injury. After recently being involved in a car accident I figured it'd be a good time to see one again. It's a fairly new office they just opened up, real nice place. As soon as I arrive the hospitable lady at the front gives me a tour of everything. After seeing that I'm a piano instructor on my form she inquires about lessons for her kids. Dr. Christina Cochran sees me soon after. She's very thorough with her examination of my posture and spine. I lie down on the specialized chiropractor bed and she goes through the motions of relaxing and manipulative therapy, which involves the nerve-racking seconds of cracking my neck and back. She has a nurturing quality to the way she handles her patients; it makes me feel better about being here.

Scrambled Eggs. Flax Fiber Toast with Vegan Cream Cheese. Black Bean Tortilla Chips with Salsa. Earl Grey Tea with Honey.

At the Rec playing pick-up basketball for a couple hours – getting a good cardio workout.

I get called into China Wok for an hour and a half. I make Kevin try on these glasses some lady left here.

Back home.

Salmon. Mixed Greens Salad with Tomatoes, Celery, Beets, and Carrots. Rice Noodles.

Watching Oculus (2013).

Researching strokes and their possible correlation to neck manipulation when visiting chiropractors. There were a few incidents where patients had a stroke immediately following a neck manipulation but it appears to be so rare and seems to be more associated with patients who already had stroke risks to begin with.

Prepping for my lessons this week.

Practicing piano.

Sleep 3:30 a.m.
