Sunday September 1 2019

Ana and I wake up super late just before noon. Letting Elvis in for his morning cuddles.

As the tradition has been for us the past three Sundays we drive over to Three Ships for Biscuits, Pastries, and Coffee. Elliott and Michelle are working as per usual. After some good talks and brunch atmosphere we head over to Prosperity – enjoying a photographic moment by a new mural on the building.

Later on, linking up with mom and running a bunch of errands with her. Amongst the stops is B&L Farm Market, the old Stoney’s place across from the hospital. They’ve got chickens and ducks roaming around freely. We feed them a fresh ear of corn, which they gobble and peck at intently. Filling up our bag with some okra, cucumbers, peas, blackberries, and corn. I turn to mom as we’re leaving with a smile and say, “It’s the little things in life.”

Back home finally. Chores.

Sourdough Toast with Vegan Cream Cheese, Beets, Tomatoes, and Poppy Seeds. White Hibiscus Tea. Salt n Vinegar Chips.

Catching up on business – there always seems to be so much to do.

Later on, mom and I make some dinner: Salmon with Roasted Corn on the Cob, Okra, and Carrots.

At the studio organizing some things – cleaning a keyboard.

Cookies n’ Cream Ice Cream.

Doing the accounting or “the books” as I like to call it.
