Waking up at 11 a.m. to a brand new year: 2019

Here’s to accidentally writing 2018 on everything for the next few months.

Ana, mom, and I go to Three Ships for some Coffee and Biscuits. It’s crowded in here like it was last new year’s when we were here. Mom complains about having difficulty swallowing. Because of the radiation treatments that’s supposed to be a side effect. They’ve got a bunch of shirts for sale. One of them catches my mom’s eye. It’s dedicated to the Native American Indian tribes of Eastern Shore.

“Why will you take by force what you may have quietly by love?” – Powhatan

“I’m happy with my hazelnut pop tart decision,” Ana tells us.

Catching up on business.

Poppy Seed Bagel with Vegan Cream Cheese. Navel Orange. Irish Breakfast Tea.

Teaching a short day of lessons at Music Makers.

Back home. Ana cooks dinner: Lentils, Roasted Veggies, and Couscous. Sharing meals with her, mom, and Austin.

While enjoying some sweets (leftover birthday cake and shortbread cookies, discussing how Ana always finds a way to “add chocolate to the equation”.

At the studio with Ana practicing songs. We have a very productive session but my head is on overload. We try to relax afterwards and talk about obtainable goals in music.

Grapefruit.

Sleep 4 a.m.
