Wok Life (5-9-15)[i]

Waking up at 10:40 a.m.

Raw Cacao Protein Shake with Strawberries, Banana, and Blueberries.

All day shift at China Wok.

Sunflower Seeds and Almonds.

Scrambled Eggs. Toast with Non-Dairy Cream Cheese. Blue Corn Tortilla Chips with Avocado and Tomato. Honey Green Tea.

Just another day on the job – delivering more orders to the beach – the tourist season has kicked in full swing, which just means more traffic at the oceanfront and more people to dodge on Atlantic Avenue.

Honey Crisp Apple.

Ling shows me a grotesque video of an ISIS beheading. Even since they've been appearing this past year I haven't actually seen one. It's not like seeing gore in movies. This is the real deal. After watching there's a disturbing feeling that lingers. My neck starts to feel irritated as if I experienced the beheading myself.

"That's something I only need to see once," I explain to Ling.

Ling shares his thoughts about how stupid he thinks these people (ISIS) are by killing people with their hands tied as if they're strong and powerful.

Tofu with Broccoli, Carrots, Onions, and Rice in Garlic Sauce.

Watching American Sniper (2014).

Practicing songs at the music space.

Pineapple.

Sleep 4 a.m.
