American Gangster.[i]

Waking up around noon.

Honey Crunch n Oats with Almond Milk.

Ana texts me, "You're really caring, understanding, and very patient. Thank you for being that way. I love you."

Last night I noticed she left her charger on the power strip. Knowing she would forget to grab it in the morning I unplugged it and put it in her big black bag of belongings. She texts me later thinking she left it in my room but then discovers it in her bag.

Ana: "Nvm lol. My charger is in my bag. Did you put that there?"

Me: "Yes I put it there. Hehe."

Ana: "There is no one like you. I just want to say thank you for last night. At the end of the night when you told me to not be afraid I really felt safe and relieved. I admire you and your emotional strength to deal with me."

Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam Sandwich. Olive Oil Potato Chips. Strawberry Kombucha Tea. Banana.

Giving a few piano lessons at Music Makers.

At the Rec Center for adult basketball. I've been "on the bench" for four weeks now ever since my thumb injury. It's still healing but good enough to get out on the court finally. I've got it wrapped up in a biker's glove and a finger sleeve. Some of the other players give me a hard time for it, "What – you goin' bowlin' or something?" I got some good cardio in but my performance is nothing short of mediocre except for my defense – I'll always have good defense.

Back home.

Leftover Curry Chic Peas with Spinach, Carrots, Rice, and Yeast Rolls. Cocoa Crème Cookies.

Watching American Gangster (2007).

"The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room."

Taking an Epsom salt bath. As I wash my body I realize how much more relaxing a bath is compared to a shower. One is always so rushed in the shower. You've got the water constantly running egging you on to finish the job. But in a bath you can allow the water to cleanse you with no urgency whatsoever. I should do these more often.

I seem to have an insatiable thirst to which I try and satisfy with glass after glass of Orange Juice.

Research.

Sleep 4:30 a.m.
