Waking up at 10:53 a.m. Ana expresses concern about her strange dreams that involved trying to save her family from falling off a cliff and a pot-bellied man giving her too much wine.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, Maple Syrup, and Kefir. Black Tea.

At the Rec with Ana. I play hard on the basketball courts.

On the way home I ask Ana, "Who do you think is the most famous basketball player right now?"

"I don't know Michael...Jackson?" she replies in all seriousness.

[Ha! Ha! Ha!]

Salmon Bacon. Toast with Non-Dairy Cream Cheese. Corn Tortilla Chips with Avocado and Tomato. Green Tea.

Watching John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017).

Teaching a few lessons at Music Makers.

Then, to the DEJA gig on the 31st Street stage. It’s 61 degrees out right now and the wind is blowing strong – it looks perfect when Eric wails on the guitar and his long hair flutters as if the wind was all part of the performance. We’re freezing on stage. My fingers tense up during certain meticulous parts in songs.

Ana drops by with dinner: Tempeh with Carrots, Zucchini, Onions, and Brown Rice.

Picking up a few things at Kroger. Often I run into this older Russian guy who used to work part-time at China Wok back in the day. Apparently, he still does delivery jobs – it’s my understanding delivery jobs have been his main form of income for over 20 years. There he is again always in the late hours. We share our surprise at the pint of blueberries only being $1.88. He says he’s been addicted to them his whole life.

“That’s a healthy addiction to have,” I tell him.

Back home.

Ice Cream. Chamomile Tea.

Sleep 3 a.m.
