Waking up at 11 a.m. Ana's asleep by my side. She must've just gotten back from tour late last night.

Steel Cut Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Maple Syrup, Raisins, and Kefir. Yerba Mate Tea.

At the Rec playing adult basketball. During the last game my teammates kept encouraging me to shoot instead of passing all the time. So I start shooting and I catch fire – four shots in a row.

Scrambled Eggs. Whole Wheat Bagel with Non-Dairy Cream Cheese. Corn Tortilla Chips with Avocado and Tomato. Honey Green Tea.

Josiah scoops me up from the house. Picking up Bobby and Bianca. Now we're New York bound.

Snacking on Peanuts, a Banana, and Dried Mango.

Stopping at a Wawa somewhere in Delaware surrounded by the bland corporatized sameness of Anywhere, America. I order a Cheese Panini of some kind with an Iced Coffee (with Milk, no sugar).

Reading Adbusters and listening to a Duncan Trussell podcast about false gods and turning your dark thoughts into positive thoughts.

Every now and then I forewarn everyone in the car, "Cheese fart coming your way!"

Bobby pops the side window open to refresh the stinky air.

"Wawa farts!" Josiah blurts out.

Later on, Josiah entertains us with an imaginative idea of having a resort-like waiting place for when your car breaks down anywhere in the country. It's a hilarious idea. We all contribute our own details where there would be a water park, a massage parlor, and so on.

"Auto Rest!" or "Auto Body Rest!"

And then...the BQE – the New York skyline.

We arrive in Bushwick – meeting up with Brock Enright, whom we know through Bobby and who let us stay at his apartment. Across the street at a dim-lit bar called Tradesmen we sip on beers. Between Bianca and I we talk about the fears of owning a small business.

Outside with Josiah and Bianca while Josiah smokes a cigarette. Brock comes out for a minute and comments on my arms being crossed. Protecting myself from myself. I'm intrigued by his observations and insights into all these things. Bobby and all of his friends are a connected bunch.

Back at the apartment. It's approaching 5 a.m. and the sunlight is slowly starting to creep over the tall buildings. Snacking on Milk Chocolate. Josiah and Brock play a few rounds of chess. Brock's roommate shows us some of his amazing music video work.

Somehow the talking ceases and we all get to sleep.
