Waking up at a semi decent hour to load up on the bus.

 

2 hour trip to Waukegan, Illinois.

 

Arriving at The Genesee Theatre – this place is pretty vast and maze like. Rebecca says someone told her 3 suicides happened here and there’s a ghost dog haha. Regardless, it’s a beautiful looking theatre with a gorgeous chandelier hanging above the room.

 

Getting loaded in and set up. I’m able to take some time to do laundry and catch up on stuff at the computer.

 

PB&J. Coffee. Fruit.

 

Every destination you want to get to in here takes a long, long walk.

 

 

Sound check goes pretty well – although it would’ve been preferred to have our lighting and spot ops here with us. But apparently this is a union house so the guys work a little differently than other places – they have very strict schedules – they also tend to be assholes.

 

Dinner is served: Chicken, Potatoes, and a vegetable once again for the third time. Despite, hospitality is on point though – the ladies are very nice and accommodating.

 

We do our show – goes over really well. Not as big of a crowd compared to other shows but still full of adoring fans.

 

 

Packing up the stage. It gets a bit stressful cause I feel behind on everything. The union guys are extremely helpful but sometimes overly helpful and seem to be rushing us.

 

We manage to get on the road – overnight drive tonight.
