Waking up fully rested in the La Quinta in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Banana. Breakfast Bar. Tea.
At The Weill Center venue in downtown. It’s definitely one of the most beautiful theatres we’ve performed at – we’ve played it once before. Loading in and setting up. Eating some leftover pasta.
Sound check. Then dinner: Chicken, Baked Potato, Slaw, etc. Second night in a row for baked potatoes to be on the menu, but this time with all the right fixings.
Rebecca and I scope out the stuff nearby – this city has an art vibe to it – lots of cool murals and buildings everywhere. There’s a newly placed playground called The Purple Octopus Playground. We have a fun photo op.
The show goes over well – great energy from the crowd. We always love playing here!
Packing up and loading out.
Back at the hotel – settling down in the bed with Rebecca. We reflect on the show and all the stuff that needs to change. Somehow we transition to a discussion on my feelings for her and our romantic history – and how she’s still in a place of non-romantic interest. But it’s still good to talk about everything that went down last year and for me to better understand where her head was at. Sometimes I wonder if we went too fast back in 2022 cause I was still grieving and getting over my nine year relationship with Ana. All I know right now is I have incredible feelings for Rebecca – I would go so far as to say I’m in love with her. I mean she reciprocates everything else but the romance. We’re super great partners in everything we do – see each other practically every day. It’s kind of unique. But the romantic feelings for her just aren’t there anymore. I regret taking her for granted last year.
...
Either way we come to some understandings.
