Waking up at 10:45 a.m.

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, Maple Syrup, and Almond Milk. English Breakfast Tea.

Austin, our new roommate, is still in the process of moving in. His two cats have taken residence in his bedroom and Elvis senses the presence of felines even though he hasn’t met them yet. Elvis hasn’t showed himself all morning. Ana freaks out after finding him hiding under the bed inside the mattress. At first it seems like he wasn’t moving but we realize he’s just staying out of sight. Eventually, we rouse him out from under.

Basketball at the Rec.

Scrambled Eggs. Bagel with Butter and Jam. Salt n Vinegar Chips with Avocado. Coffee.

Teaching all my in-home lessons.

I don’t know what it is about piano students and flatulence. They just can’t seem to contain themselves. And none of them have any sense of embarrassment. Just let it out!

Immediately after lessons I have to load up and drive out to Hampton for a DEJA gig. Eating some leftover Pizza and a Salad on the way there. Directly off the tunnel there’s a county called Phoebus and newish looking dive bar/restaurant called Stuft – a bright yellow building surrounded by old resident housing all crammed together on the block. A picture of Christopher Walken welcomes you saying “Walken And Grab A Table”. It’s our first time here and it’s a packed house. Clevan is running sound, one of my favorites because of how efficient and hassle-free he is. Sipping on Lost Coast Tangerine Beers, my new beer of choice for the summer.

Afterwards, we get tons of compliments per usual. The energy and performance made for a good night.

Chowing down on Shrimp Tacos and Tortilla Chips.

Back home.

Sleep 4 a.m.
