Striped Aloe Vera Orphan (October 5 2014)[i]

Waking up at 11:20 a.m.

A big bowl of Cinnamon Oatmeal with Raisins and Almond Milk. Orange Juice.

All day shift at China Wok.

It's the first day this season I've chosen to wear my track jacket – temperatures in the 60's and then into the upper 50's when the sun goes down.

A lot of customers watching the football game today. I'd say 9 out of 10 have the game on their TV when the front door is opened.

Ana shows up with Grilled PB&J's to share – it's a recent recipe she came up with using coconut oil in a skillet to toast the sandwich. She used fresh ground peanuts making it a very filling meal. Washing it down with Honey Green Tea.

It's Bring Your Girlfriend to Work Day (October 5 2014)

While on a delivery with Ana I discover a small white-striped aloe vera plant drying out on the ground without a pot. It's significantly discolored and possibly unsalvageable but I grab it anyway. It's kind of scary looking as Ana points out. Thinking of starting an orphanage for plants?

Amazed at how filling that peanut butter sandwich was for me. I don't find myself getting hungry in the evening, not even for a snack.

Off work and back home.

Chicken with Broccoli and Rice.

Watching Nebraska (2013).

Keeping Jupiter company while Darren and Devon are on the west coast.
